Wait, what!?! COLLABORATE 19 isn’t in Las Vegas?!
To be honest, we are a little beside ourselves. Especially Ted Chappell (connect with Ted on LinkedIn), our Director of Product Management, whose tradition to grab a pretzel-wrapped hot dog from Pretzeland on the way back to the Luxor is ruined. He’s devastated.
We are happy to report, however, that we were able to convince Ted the trip to COLLABORATE 19 in San Antonio will be just as fun. To reassure him, a quick Google search turned up Schilo’s & Bier Garten Riverwalk as two possible pretzel places near the River Walk.
3 Ways to Connect at COLLABORATE
Two Sessions at COLLABORATE 19 — With the forum only a few short weeks away, April 7-11, 2019, maybe you can help us brighten Ted’s spirits a little more by adding one or both of his sessions to your agenda. Details below.
Schedule a meeting with Ted and the Team — And, if you really want to make Mr. Chappell smile, you can reach out to us in advance to schedule a time to chat. We love catching up with customers and new contacts at these events over coffee, lunch, or a drink to discuss how you’re using our solutions, ways we can improve, and things you might need help with.

While email is a powerful business tool, it can also create big problems. Your emailed purchase order that was caught in a junk folder, bringing the manufacturing plant’s production to a standstill. Your invoice that was never received, squeezing the company’s cash flow. While these scenarios may be extreme, bounced or missed emails really can have a negative impact on your business. This session aims to eliminate the guesswork surrounding email delivery and opens by sharing techniques to update Oracle with detailed delivery insights—helping senders quickly react to undelivered emails.

Optimizing Legacy Maintenance Procedures with IoT and Data Automation
Wednesday, April 10, 2019 10:30 am | GH 4th FL Crockett C
Oracle Enterprise Asset Management and Oracle Maintenance Cloud offer powerful functionality to effectively manage your organization’s critical assets. This includes the ability to add key asset readings and usage to drive condition-based, data-driven maintenance decisions. However, adding that data into Oracle is a laborious process that’s prone to manual errors. This session explores how Barrick Gold, one of the world’s largest gold mining operations, automated the collection and updating of meter data in Oracle eAM—freeing their planners to focus on critical tasks…not time-consuming ones.
