Show Report: 6th Annual Oracle Maintenance Summit

I spent last week in Nashville at the 6^th Annual Maintenance Summit hosted by VIZIYA.  A really well done conference supporting Oracle EBS, JD Edwards and PeopleSoft customers that have implemented or are implementing the various maintenance modules of their respective applications.  I spent the majority of my time in our booth demonstrating the latest and greatest features of the AventX Attachment Printer (luckily I was able to spend some time in the Honky Tonks as well…).  Even better I came home with 6 new enhancements for the products from real users!  Can’t beat that.  I did have the opportunity to hit a couple educational topics as well including the EBS Enterprise Asset Management Product Directions session.  The highlights from this packed ‘what’s coming’ session were:

• iPad Safari browser certification
• Integration of ADF Mobile including a demonstration of a mobile app for the iPad for a maintenance supervisor.
• Endeca integration – Endeca is a recent Oracle acquisition that provides enterprise search and BI capabilities.  The presenters showed a demonstration of the functionality and it looked really slick.  A different user experience for sure but powerful and after talking with some users they were excited about the possibilities it could bring to their businesses.
• Some various specific enhancements to eAM.

Overall a really good show.  Met a lot of great people and received some good feedback on our products.  Looking forward to developing those enhancements!
